The Lions Club of Fish Hoek/Simonsbay was Chartered on 11 July 1973 as one of the Lions International 45,000 clubs and more than 1.3 million members, to serve the Fish Hoek community. The Fish Hoek Lions Club is proud to say it has been serving the community with distinction ever since. This makes the Lions Club of Fish Hoek/SimonsBay part of the world's largest service club organization. The club is part of Multiple District 410 and falls within District 410A which covers the Western Cape region of South Africa as well as Namibia. The Fish Hoek Lions Club are involved in many service and fund-raising projects. Our main Project is the Lions Eye Clinic, held every week at the False Bay Hospital in Fish Hoek, whereby indigent patient’s eyes are tested and they are fitted with refurbished frames and prescription lenses at a nominal fee. Our most ambitious fund-raising project is the annual Slangkop Biker’s Rally, where we host a gathering of bikers over a weekend and supply them food, drink, good music and activities, as well as a place to sleep. Additional information on Lions, and the fund-raising and projects undertaken by our Club, can be accessed by using the menus above. The members of Fish Hoek Lions Club are proud of their association and affiliation with the International Association of Lions Clubs, the largest and most successful service organisation in the world. If you would like to join us and lend a hand, please liaise with our club membership director on the Contacts page, as invitation to the bi-monthly club meetings is usually for Lions members and by invite only. The meetings start promptly at 19h30 and last between one and two hours. Lions, Ready to Help, Worldwide
