The Lions Club of Fish Hoek Simonsbay was Chartered on 11 July 1973 and is part of Multiple District 410 and falls within District 410A which covers the Western Cape in South Africa and Namiba.

The Club has served the community of the Southern Cape Peninsula with distinction for the past 34 years. The Fish Hoek Lions Club is involved in many service and fundraising projects. Two of the most ambitious being the annual Slangkop Biker’s Rally and the running of the bar at the annual New Year’s Eve street party in Simon’s Town. The funds raised from these events are used exclusively for community projects both large and small.

Our main Project is the Lions Eye Clinic, held every week at the False Bay Hospital in Fish Hoek, whereby indigent patient’s eyes are tested and they are fitted with refurbished frames and prescription lenses at a nominal fee.

Additional information on this and other Projects undertaken by our Club can be accessed by using the menu above.

Club meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at 19h30 at the Lions and Baseball Club House on the Silverglade Sports Fields, off Nelson Road, Fish Hoek.

The members of Fish Hoek Lions Club are proud of their association and affiliation with the International Association of Lions Clubs, the largest and most successful service organisation in the world.
